Gerald J. Beaulieu

Gerald is our Health Editor who belives that access to quality healthcare is a universal right. Gerald’s parents, humble middle school teachers, raised an entire generation of doctors — and one journalist. He says that his brother and two sisters needed someone to scan the outside world for them while they were busy saving lives; and he, indeed, does that perfectly. After receiving an MA in Journalism and an MS in Environmental Science, Gerald added his voice to Climate change communication, but soon focused entirely on topics of the American health system. He provided the latest news on biotech, pharma, and healthcare reforms to outlets such as Rational View, Must Media, and The Chapel Hill Times Gerald believes that we don’t have to overpay for healthcare or to underpay our medical professionals, and that access to quality healthcare is a universal right. beaulieu@democracyforus.org
