Dismissed Officer In Floyd Case Allowed To Move States

The officer now dismissed who was involved in the death of George Floyd has had his judgement orders reviewed. As a result, the judge ruled that he can move to a neighbouring state on grounds of failure to secure protection. He feels that there isn’t adequate protection where he is now and sought to move on those grounds. Consequently, his release on bail has already caused a backlash among the community who feel an injustice by his release. The lawyer representing the Floyd family has made a statement that both his release and freedom of movement to another state. Shows the injustice evident between the treatment of people of different creeds within the justice system in the US.

Until we show more consistency in the way people are treated no matter their ethnicity. We will continue to have divisions and injustice felt by and within our communities.
