The house legislature this year has recieved a record number of women voted in this year. Even more heartening is that more than a third are women of different ethnic backgrounds. Nevertheless, they still have a long way to go as equal representation remains a distant dream. However with the results like this year surely it is a dream worth fighting for. As chief executives bringing in soft skills women are much valued for what tey they bring on board. From medical to engineering endeavours they are recognised for their many contributions and achievements. There is absolutely no reason why they cannot attain equal numbers in representation within the legislature. As more people do away with the old fashioned norms that have perpetrated this injustice and kept it going. There will be more opportunity for women to take their rightful places by merit and not gender bias.
