NZ Appoints Indigenous Foreign Secretary

The diversity in the new parliament is the greatest in the world. With an appointment of an indigenous person to the office of foreign secretary. Also an LGBTQ percentage greater than that of the UK this cabinet is leading the way. Such an appointment is not only empowering for women it is also breaking down social barriers. The new foreign secretary is related to the King and queen of the indigenous people in the country. With her appointment, she is a bridge to a sizeable political movement as well as representing the indigenous people of her country. Such representation is vital for the indigenous population not to feel sidelined in their own country. Political appointments such as this are welcome and required around the world. Inclusion of indiginous people has be ingrained and flourish. Exclusion of indigenous people and their rights and aspirations must be a thing of the past.
