What Are The National Security Guidelines When A President Is Ill

Currently, all the world’s leaders have downplayed their infection by the coronavirus. However, we do know that these play an important role in National Security. Who replaces an incumbent leader who is too ill to look to the affairs of state? What are the procedures in place for such an event? Is the risk for an unfriendly power taking advantage heightened?. These immediately come to mind and are legitimate questions to ask. We know that Trump’s admission into the hospital was accompanied by US Strategic Bomber assets taking off. To show America was strong. Orders to do so were by a presidential command. Also to warn adversaries that there was no weakness in America’s strength or ability to take action.

There are serious implications for these events. Although there is little known about what procedures go into play. When this type of event  happens
